comment: I feel like everyone is forgetting that this is merely a HEARING not a trial. This is not court. There is no official “judge”. This is a platform for both sides to give their testimonies, and then, the Senate will decide whether they can morally approve Kavanaugh’s nom or if they think he should step down. This ISN’T a trial. This is for the Senate to decide what they should do within the politisphere. If the Senate believes that Kavanaugh MAY be guilty (not PROVEN, but BELIEVE), then they will not support him. If they believe that he is innocent, then they will continue on with the process. There is no “proof” or “evidence ” necessary because he is not being tried. This is a hearing. If this is brought to court, then there will be a full trial, with evidence, interviews, etc.
